Shamunnay regularly carries out audit of its annual financial affairs by Sadhan Das & Co, a reputed audit firm. It conducted audits of three consecutive fiscal years 2004-05, 2005-06 and 2006-07 since Shamunnay’s registration under the Department of Social Services.

Currently Shamunnay is involved in a focused action research on budget for the marginalized. Shamunnay has been projecting the voices of the unheard immediately before and after the announcement of the budget. The outcomes are shared extensively both in the print and electronic media. The organization has conducted a number of studies directly related to PRSP namely An Exploration of the Impacts of I-PRSP on Health and Health Budget in Bangladesh (December 2003).
