Unnayan Manusher Jonno: Enhancing Right to Development through Greater Participation in Development Policies (UMJ II)

Sponsored by Manusher Jonno Foundation (MJF), UMJ II contextualizes enhancement of people’s right to development in Bangladesh. By implementing the project people’s right to information will be enhanced by establishing voluntary information system (VIS) at local level and strengthening demand and supply sides related to right to information, future generations will be an integral part of formulating and implementing economic policies (particularly budget), local citizens will be involved in budget debates and monitoring at the grassroots, and ethnic minorities, physically challenged and elderly citizens will be brought into economic policymaking process.
